First Alarm History

In 1966, a young man named Jarl E. Saal began providing the Santa Cruz area with
private security services under the name of Seascape Security. Within a few
years, Jarl began to look for more ways to provide security for the area's homes
and business. During the 1970's and 1980's the emphasis of the enterprise
shifted more toward the electronic side of the security industry. Jarl changed
the name of the company to FIRST ALARM and began to broaden the horizons of the
firm.

In 1993 First Alarm opened its corporate headquarters in Aptos, California.
Today we proudly serve California, and employ over 500 people throughout the
state. First Alarm has been nationally recognized as one of the top 40 largest
security companies in the United States. |
